FITNA Eid Al Fitr 2023

Salaam All! This year we are once again offering Eid prayers online inshAllah thanks to generous donations from FITNA members for funding our speakers & accessibility team! They will be live-streamed on FITNA FB page and FITNA YouTube. You can click on this event to get a reminder for when the prayer starts. We’re delighted to announce Maya Leggat and Gabriel Arkles as our imams and Nakia Jackson as our prayer coach. Maya will be leading the prayer & Gabriel will be giving the khutba/sermon. Their bios are below. ASL interpretation & CART captions will be provided. Since Eid prayers have a slightly different format than regular prayers & our captioning team does not speak Arabic [though they will still caption the prayers], we are sharing the text of the prayer here for you to follow along: https://tinyurl.com/fitnaeidprayertext Timeline for the event: 8:00 Livestream starts with Eid takbeers 8:10 Prayer starts followed by khutba/sermon Zakat Al Fitr: We encourage you to check out transzakatproject.org to pay zakat al fitr if you’re interested Speaker bios: Maya Leggat (she/they) is currently a law student, with studies focused on reentry reform and access to healthcare.
